From Homeless to CEO....

As a 5-year old child living in shelters and her family's car, she realized that the people that helped her were advocates of services for low-income families, just like hers,  when they needed it the most.  Today, Lucy Hernandez is focused on helping develop agencies like the ones that helped her and her family reach self-sufficiency...

 "I would not be where I am today without the services and staff that believed in me and helped me in my most vulnerable times in life. From a homeless child that was provided anti-poverty programs, today I am a Community Action champion that wants to give others the same opportunity I was given. I want to share the gift of resilience and bring hope to many that want to achieve self-sufficiency in their lives"-Lucy
